Primavera Sound Music Festival in Barcelona, which began its existence as a small-scale event, now attracts music enthusiasts in their thousands and gathers plenty of media attention. This musical event which takes place in May annually, tends to attract crowds of over 60,000 plus and is one of the most popular festivals in Spain.
This musical festival, which features reputed artists and performers from all over the globe, also provides classic and amateur musical bands with the opportunity to showcase their talents. The event features different genres of music such as pop, rock, underground electronic, dance and classical music.
Previous editions of the Primavera Sound Music Festival have featured 
lively bands and musicians such as Pixies, Neil young, Yo La Tengo, El-P, Arcade Fire, Television, Enrique Morente, Wilco, PJ Harvey, White Stripes, Spiritualized and Patti Smith.
One of the most useful features of the Primavera Sound Music Festival is the crèche hosted by organisers which allows the adults to enjoy the top quality electronic music without worrying about their kids. Called “Espacio Minimusica,” this crèche is a child care centre and a play area, the services of which can be availed free of charge. The Espacio Minimusica also features live musical performances especially for young children.
