1. Park de la Ciutadella
Park de la Ciudadella, which is located in the Barri Gothic area, houses several significant art and cultural museums, a large lake with boating facilities and Spanish structures displaying works of art. Antonio Gaudi was the designer of the fountains and gardens in this park, which also houses Barcelona zoo. Families can relax on
the aromatic lawns and listen to music played by local artists.
2. Botanical Gardens
The Botanical Gardens, which were constructed near a former rubbish dump, today contains plants from different parts of the world, categorised according to their regions. These gardens are lesser known but are one of the great hidden jewels in the city and are certainly worth visiting. Plenty of natural space for family groups with kids.
3. Parc de l’Oreneta
This park which was constructed on the site of two ancient factories, has transformed the area into a family picnic area. The park offers several activities for children such as mini trains, play areas, pony rides and mazes, and is ideal for the entire family.

This triangle-shaped park contains a table tennis area, a children’s park, a delightful flower tunnel and a basketball court. Quite central and if you have a hotel nearby, a good parks for kids to play in.

Tibidabo Amusement Park, with its Castle of Terror, Blue Tram Funicular and Big Digger rides will keep your children amused for hours. This park is not in the centre of the city but is a quite easy train or car ride away.
